Cost Manager – Major Infrastructure Design & Construct Project

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cost Manager to join a newly established team delivering a multi‑billion‑dollar infrastructure design and construct project in Australia. You will own the overall cost and budget reporting, working closely with the Head of Commercial and the wider project team to ensure financial clarity at all levels.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse monthly contractor progress payment claims against actual progress.
• Prepare draft payment certificates each month.
• Compile whole‑of‑project monthly cost forecasts, including contractor and principal costs, with commentary on movements and variances.
• Analyse variation costs and prepare costings for options, proposals and scenario impacts.
• Deliver detailed cash‑flow analysis in partnership with the commercial team.
• Support the broader team’s understanding of cost and financial impacts across a wide range of project activities.

Required profile

• Substantial experience on large civil infrastructure projects, preferably from a Quantity Surveying or Cost Engineering background.
• Experience on the principal side of a design‑and‑construct (D&C) environment is ideal; contractor‑side experience is a bonus.
• Focus on major civil infrastructure rather than aviation projects.
