Cost Controller

About the role

Aurecon is looking for a Cost Controller to join its Senior Project Controls team in Perth. You will help unlock project delivery potential by providing accurate cost information and supporting decision‑making for complex engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Set up project budgets, man‑hours and resource plans.
• Monitor, track, forecast and report man‑hours and costs for projects, sub‑consultants and subcontractors.
• Verify sub‑consultant and subcontractor invoices and manage change events affecting the budget.
• Administer variations, prepare invoicing and produce weekly and monthly reports for clients and internal reviews.
• Apply Earned Value Management techniques to forecast commitments and assess cost impacts of variations.

Required profile

• Passion for re‑imagining engineering and continuous learning.
• Experience with PRISM or a similar cost‑control system.
• Strong understanding of Earned Value Management for both time‑material and lump‑sum work.
• Familiarity with risk‑based project processes and contract administration.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

Required skills

• PRISM (or equivalent) cost‑control software.
• Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology.
• Microsoft Excel (intermediate‑advanced).
