Construction Site Manager – Social Housing Projects

About the role

Hays is seeking experienced Construction Site Managers to lead a range of social housing apartment projects across the north and south regions. The role offers the chance to work with Tier 1 builders, benefit from strong on‑site support, and avoid overtime or weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee on‑site construction from civil works through to handover.
• Manage subcontractors, ensure compliance with health & safety standards, and produce regular reports.
• Coordinate daily site activities, monitor progress, and maintain quality control.
• Collaborate with senior mentors and Tier 1 project teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience as a site supervisor or manager on apartment projects valued at $10 M or more.
• Prior experience managing commercial mixed‑use or social‑housing projects.
• Ability to handle projects from civil works through to completion.
• Structural site management experience is also required.
