Clinical Nurse – North Brisbane

About the role

BlueCare is looking for an experienced and compassionate Clinical Nurse to provide clinical leadership and expert nursing care across its residential aged‑care facilities in the North Brisbane region. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring safe, high‑quality, resident‑centred care while supporting staff development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical leadership and advice for complex resident care needs.
• Develop, implement, monitor and review resident care plans to promote health and wellbeing.
• Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
• Mentor, orient and supervise care staff, fostering ongoing professional development.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, legislation and clinical governance.
• Support timely ACFI assessments to optimise funding outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, residents, families and external stakeholders.
• Participate in quality‑improvement, risk management and WHS activities.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA‑registered RN qualification (Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent).
• Extensive general nursing experience with strong clinical skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI).
• Commitment to person‑centred, resident‑based care.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to meet probity and compliance checks.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI).
• Proficient clinical documentation.
• Intermediate computer skills.
