Chief Commercial Officer

About the role

The Victoria Racing Club (VRC) is seeking a Chief Commercial Officer to lead its commercial, product and membership functions. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CCO will shape the organisation's growth strategy and drive revenue across a diverse portfolio of racing, hospitality and precinct activation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute membership acquisition, retention and engagement strategies.
• Lead corporate partnership negotiations and commercial sales performance.
• Oversee product development and customer experience improvements.
• Drive precinct activation and non‑race‑day utilisation to diversify revenue.
• Align commercial activities with marketing and operational functions.
• Establish high‑performing operating rhythms across the commercial organisation.

Required profile

• Significant executive leadership experience across commercial, product, sales and customer functions.
• Proven track record of revenue growth and customer acquisition.
• Experience managing large, multi‑disciplinary teams in dynamic environments.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and board communication skills.
• Data‑led and customer‑centric mindset.
