Chef Trainer – Hospitality Department

About the role

UHI Perth is seeking a dynamic, energetic Chef Trainer to join its Hospitality department. You will share your passion for food, develop high‑quality dishes for the Food Court, and mentor vocational learners across SCQF levels 4‑6.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, train and assess culinary learners within the Food Court and wider hospitality operations.
• Collaborate with the curriculum team and an external service partner to design and deliver training programmes.
• Create and oversee daily menu production, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Maintain health, safety and food‑hygiene standards, including HACCP compliance.
• Provide feedback and support to learners to help them achieve their qualifications.

Required profile

• Passionate about food with a creative approach to cooking.
• Experience working in a professional kitchen and delivering culinary training.
• Knowledge of SCQF levels 4‑6 and assessment processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
