Casual Early Childhood Educator (Diploma)

About the role

Join the City of Canterbury Bankstown’s Children’s Services as a Casual Early Childhood Educator. You will create safe, inclusive and engaging learning environments for children across several community centres in Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Early Education and Care National Law, Regulations and National Quality Standards.
• Support the delivery of an innovative curriculum aligned with the National Early Years Learning Framework.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families and external professionals to tailor learning experiences.
• Observe, document and report on children’s development using a range of methods.

Required profile

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
• Current Working with Children Check and Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk of Significant Harm clearance.
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate (including Asthma and Anaphylaxis).
• Demonstrated experience delivering quality learning experiences for young children.
• Knowledge of child development and the National Early Years Learning Framework.

Required skills

What we offer

• Hourly rate starting at $39.46 (AUD) plus 25% casual loading and 12% superannuation.
• Flexible casual contracts across multiple locations (Hurlstone Park, Earlwood, Lakemba, Punchbowl, Carrington Centre).
