Bogger Operator – Underground Mining

About the role

We are seeking experienced Bogger Operators to join Newmont’s Tanami underground mining operation. The role involves safely clearing and loading blasted material from stopes and drawpoints to support continuous production.

Key responsibilities

• Operate underground loaders to clear blasted material from stopes and drawpoints.
• Maintain pace with the mining cycle while following approved safe work procedures.
• Ensure roadways remain clean, smooth, and to design grade.
• Conduct bogging activities in line with development and production requirements.
• Maintain a clean loading area and manage spillages promptly.
• Follow oversized rock handling procedures when required.
• Participate in pre‑start and PASS meetings before each shift.
• Complete equipment and area inspections to Newmont standards.
• Identify and report defects, hazards, and equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate shift reporting and ensure adequate ventilation and safe working conditions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Bogger Operator in underground mining.
• Strong commitment to safety leadership and compliance.
• Ability to follow safety systems, procedures, and hazard control measures.
• Willingness to stop work when conditions are unsafe.
