Audit Manager – Assurance (Canberra)

About the role

EY is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead assurance engagements in Canberra. You will guide audit teams, collaborate with senior managers and partners, and ensure high‑quality delivery for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute multiple audit projects simultaneously, managing timelines and audit risk.
• Supervise junior staff, provide coaching, and ensure compliance with EY policies and professional standards.
• Assess clients' operating, regulatory and control environments to identify financial statement risks.
• Participate in client acceptance, independence reviews and adherence to professional standards.
• Leverage data and technology to enhance audit quality and deliver value‑added insights.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of audit experience in a Big 4 or second‑tier accounting firm.
• Degree or progress toward a recognised accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting matters.
• Proven ability to manage complex audit engagements and build client relationships.
