Youth Homelessness Coordinator

About the role

PCYC Mareeba is seeking a Youth Homelessness Coordinator to lead the development and delivery of early intervention and support services for young people at risk of homelessness. The role reports to the Youth Club Manager and focuses on identifying at-risk youth through after-school programs, providing or overseeing case management support and coordinating responses with community stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Identify young people at risk of homelessness through after-school programs
• Provide or oversee case management support
• Coordinate responses with community stakeholders
• Build partnerships with schools, government agencies, community organisations, housing providers and support services
• Guide and support a team of Support Workers

Required profile

• QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and consent to a National Police Check; Blue Card holders must complete a police check on commencement
• Experience in the not-for-profit sector (desirable)
• Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, human services or a similar field, with at least 3 years' experience in social and community sector programs (desirable)
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate, or willingness to obtain one
