Yard & Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Yard & Maintenance Technician to join our Darwin branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will keep our fleet of modular buildings hire‑ready and ensure returned units are in top condition.

Key responsibilities

• Operate high‑risk forklifts to move and position modular buildings and materials.
• Prepare hire units for transport – cleaning, prepping and packing.
• Carry out basic repairs, routine maintenance and general upkeep of equipment.
• Inspect returned assets, identify issues and record findings.
• Use hand and power tools for daily maintenance tasks.
• Assist with stocktakes and maintain an organised yard.
• Complete simple paperwork and log asset movements.

Required profile

• Current High‑Risk Forklift Licence.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Experience using tools and performing general maintenance or repairs.
• Practical, problem‑solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills for reporting.
• Willingness to obtain a Working at Heights licence (optional).
