Yard & Drive Thru Team Member

About the role

PlaceMakers Wairau Park is looking for a Yard & Drive Thru Team Member for a permanent full-time position of 40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday. You will support building trade customers across the yard and drive-thru areas, give product advice, load vehicles and help create a customer experience that keeps them coming back.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and recommend products that suit each customer's needs and preferences
• Pick, assemble and process orders and transactions
• Load and unload customer vehicles, delivery vans and supplier trucks
• Support dispatch and coordinate daily deliveries
• Monitor inventory levels, complete cycle counts and stock replenishment
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised yard through general housekeeping

Required profile

• Proven experience in a timber yard, building supplies environment, warehouse or similar trade-based setting
• Physically fit, able to lift heavily and handle goods manually
• Reliable team player who enjoys helping customers and supporting tradespeople
• Full New Zealand Class 1 driver's licence (essential)
• Knowledge of building products or the construction industry is an advantage

Required skills

• Forklift operation (desirable, with F endorsement)
• Order picking, assembly and processing
