WTRSS Operations Lead

About the role

Raytheon Australia is seeking an Operations Lead for its WTRSS programme, based onsite in Mawson Lakes. The role engages a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver project outcomes, working closely with the Operations Manager, the customer and key stakeholders to achieve trial or programme objectives. It covers mission setup, mission execution and overall mission management, and calls for strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Key responsibilities

• Trial planning with the customer and support working groups, defining and documenting requirements to achieve mission success
• Assist in developing, reviewing and updating operations plans, processes, procedures and enablers
• Assist in planning to support the deployment of mission systems
• Coordinate project deliverables

Required profile

• University degree in Program Management, Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Proven high standard of written and verbal communication
• Broad knowledge of test range mission system equipment and other defence assets
• Expertise in their professional discipline and awareness of how their work affects the wider organisation
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 2 security clearance
• Desirable: experience in solution and proposal development, including financial and commercial aspects
• Desirable: prior experience on defence sustainment support contracts
