Workshop Production Planner

About the role

The Workshop Production Planner is responsible for orchestrating efficient, high‑quality production workflows in Sandvik's Pooraka workshop. You will work closely with supervisors, technicians and procurement to ensure schedules are met and resources optimised.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, finalise and distribute detailed production plans to stakeholders.
• Create and manage production schedules to maximise workflow efficiency and resource utilisation.
• Provide customers with clear daily and weekly progress updates.
• Collaborate with workshop teams to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor parts availability and coordinate procurement to prevent delays.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs and scheduled servicing activities.
• Evaluate production performance and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Identify bottlenecks and recommend actionable solutions.
• Prepare variation bills of materials and cost estimates for scope changes.

Required profile

• Qualified tradesperson with strong workshop planning and coordination experience.
• Hands‑on experience in scheduling, workflow management, maintenance operations and inventory control.
• Highly organised, analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively and deliver value‑driven solutions.
