About the role
The Workplace Operations Lead will be the central point for day‑to‑day workplace activities across Aurecon’s Brisbane office and the wider Queensland regional footprint. You will ensure smooth facility operations, coordinate vendors, and support office transformations while maintaining a high‑quality workplace experience.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily workplace operations, including facilities issues and overall office experience.
- Act as the primary escalation point, resolving operational problems before they reach senior leadership.
- Coordinate contractors and vendors to meet service delivery and performance standards.
- Support office relocations, fit‑outs, new workplace setups and manage defects.
- Oversee shared resources such as fleet, car parking and office amenities.
- Assist with contractor onboarding, contracts and compliance requirements.
- Support health, safety and contractor compliance (HSE) processes.
- Provide continuity as a key point of contact and support business continuity with the CX function.
Required profile
- Approximately 3+ years of experience in workplace operations or facilities management.
- Experience in corporate or consultancy environments is preferred.
- Strong background in coordinating contractors and vendors.
- Exposure to office fit‑outs, moves or defects management is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of workplace operations systems, processes and basic commercial lease concepts.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and comfort managing ambiguity.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without formal authority.
- Proactive, adaptable and a strong sense of ownership.
