Workplace Health & Safety Assistant Officer (Permanent Part-Time)

About the role

JBS Australia is looking for a Workplace Health & Safety Assistant Officer in a permanent part-time capacity. The role supports safe and compliant operations across the animal protein business, helping to build a positive site safety culture through engagement and education.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and effective workplace health and safety practices aligned with business objectives and values
• Ensure compliance with legislation, policies and procedures, including WHS, confined space, PPE, Legionella and asbestos
• Investigate work-related injuries, illnesses and dangerous events
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and employees
• Complete all required internal and external reporting
• Provide additional first aid support and cover for First Aid Officers as required

• Ability to work professionally in a team, under pressure and while multi-tasking
• Passion for stakeholder and relationship management and data entry
