Workforce Planning Manager (Maternity Leave Contract)

About the role

Adelaide Venue Management (AVM), South Australia's leading provider of venue management services, operates three iconic venues (Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide Entertainment Centre and Coopers Stadium) and events at The Drive. It is seeking an experienced Workforce Planning Manager to lead its Workforce Planning and Uniform teams on a 12-month maternity leave contract, reporting to the General Manager, People.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure staffing levels, rostering practices and labour resources align with operational requirements so events run smoothly
• Drive efficient, responsive and cost-effective rostering outcomes
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to meet the demands of a high-volume events calendar
• Lead and support the Uniforms Coordinator, covering uniform purchasing, issuing, administration, laundering and stock coordination

Required profile

• Proven experience in workforce planning and logistics with a track record of results
• Strong working knowledge of industrial instruments, including Enterprise Agreements and Awards
• Lateral thinking, problem-solving, emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay focused under tight deadlines and last-minute roster changes
• Flexibility with working hours, as occasional work outside normal hours may be needed

Required skills

• Sound working knowledge of Humanforce or similar rostering software (essential)
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills
