Workday HRIS Lead

About the role

Six Degrees Executive is recruiting a Workday HRIS Lead in Melbourne for a six-month contract. The role reviews Workday HCM that has been live for several years, defines what good looks like and sets the HR systems direction for the future. It suits someone who has led Workday remediation after a difficult go-live, and offers a direct line to HR leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Run a full Workday health check across configuration, business processes, workflows and data quality
• Work with HR leadership to prioritise findings and agree what gets fixed now and what can wait
• Lead remediation of the core Workday foundations alongside an in-house HRIS team
• Build a data governance framework aligned to Workday best practice and reducing reliance on customisation
• Set the HRIS strategy and a two-year HR systems roadmap for the internal team

Required profile

• Experience leading Workday HCM optimisation or remediation after go-live, as an HRIS Lead, HRIS Manager, Workday consultant or in a similar role
• Experience across more than one Workday environment
• Track record building data governance frameworks and HRIS roadmaps
• Confidence presenting findings to executive sponsors
• Strong project management and leadership, able to work alongside an established internal team
