Workday Functional HCM Consultant

About the role

Mivada, a high-growth Australian technology consultancy with an offshore capability in India, is looking for a Workday Functional HCM Consultant with hands-on implementation experience. You will work as part of a project team supporting end-to-end Workday implementations, enhancements and post-production support, helping clients deliver their Workday HCM projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support Workday HCM implementation and enhancement projects across the full project lifecycle
• Configure Workday HCM modules according to documented requirements and functional designs
• Gather requirements with clients and internal teams and turn them into system configuration
• Take part in system testing, including unit testing, system integration testing and UAT support
• Help resolve functional issues, defects and configuration problems during implementation
• Work with functional, technical and offshore teams to keep delivery aligned
• Support data migration, cutover and post-go-live activities
• Document functional designs, configuration details and testing outcomes
• Contribute to process improvements, knowledge transfer and end-user training

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, HR, Business or a related field
• Approximately 4-8 years of Workday experience, including at least 1-2 implementation projects
• Workday certification in HCM or related modules (required or in progress)
• Strong understanding of core HR processes across the employee lifecycle (hire to retire)
• Ability to work independently but with guidance from senior team members on complex decisions

Required skills

• Hands-on Workday configuration and testing experience
• Knowledge of Workday implementation methodology and project lifecycle phases
• Client-facing project environment experience
• Analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
