Women Trainee Quarry Operator & Driver Program

About the role

Heidelberg Materials offers a Women Trainee Quarry Operator and Driver Program at its Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry or Axedale Hard Rock Quarry. It is a paid training program with ongoing mentoring and support to obtain a Heavy Rigid (HR) licence, with no previous truck driving experience required.

Required profile

• A current Australian driver's licence held for at least two years (manual or automatic).
• A strong driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment commercial driver medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to meet licensing requirements, including declarations about medical conditions, outstanding fines, interlock devices and disqualifications.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills, and a strong commitment to safety.
• Good time management and ability to follow procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Paid training while completing HR licence training, starting at $27.80 per hour plus superannuation and penalty rates, rising to $31.00 per hour once licensed.
