WHSE Advisor (Site) - FIFO Perth

About the role

Kerman Contracting is recruiting multiple WHSE Advisors to support a brand new non-process infrastructure (NPI) project for a Tier 1 client. The role is a FIFO position from Perth on a 2:1 roster, working on-site to implement and maintain WHSE procedures and ensure project WHSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and mentor the site leadership team and subcontractor workforce on best-practice WHSE procedures
• Promote a physically and psychologically safe workplace by helping people identify, eliminate or control hazards
• Help implement and maintain WHSE management plans, risk registers, procedures and forms through consultation with site personnel and stakeholders
• Carry out WHSE inspections and take part in WHSE audits
• Maintain accurate WHSE statistics and provide reports to the client and the project team
• Ensure workers have the right training and licences based on the Training Needs Analysis
• Make sure emergency equipment is available, tested and compliant, and that staff know the safe work procedures and JHA process

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years in a similar WHSE position
• Minimum of Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• A positive, team-first approach

Desirable qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Experience managing and delivering training and assessments such as VOCs (non-high risk)
• Formal incident investigation training
