Welder – MIG & Structural Steel Fabrication

About the role

Ellis and Sons Group is seeking a skilled welder to join its shade‑structure division in Cowra. The role focuses on metal fabrication for industrial textiles such as shade sails, truck tarps and tautliner curtains.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on structural steel components.
• Interpret workshop drawings and translate them into fabricated parts.
• Work within the metal fabrication area of the shade‑structure division.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure neat presentation of finished work.
• Operate safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in structural steel fabrication.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and a positive, honest attitude.
• Physically fit and able to perform heavy manual work.
• Current driver’s licence (desirable) and forklift licence (essential).
