About the role

The Welcome Team Ambassador is the friendly face of the Sydney Opera House, greeting visitors, providing information on events, tours and local attractions, and ensuring an inclusive experience for all guests, including those with accessibility needs.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist visitors at the main entrance and information points.
• Provide accurate details about performances, tours, dining options and nearby points of interest.
• Support guests with accessibility requirements, offering tailored assistance.
• Handle enquiries, resolve minor complaints and direct more complex issues to appropriate teams.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming environment in line with brand standards.

Required profile

• Minimum two years recent experience in a high‑volume, face‑to‑face customer service role.
• Experience delivering information services to tourists is highly regarded.
• Ability to engage confidently with a diverse range of patrons.
• Professional appearance, calm demeanor and strong communication skills.
• Capacity to memorise key information about events and facilities.
