Warehouse Training Coordinator

About the role

Americold, a global leader in temperature-controlled logistics, is hiring two Warehouse Training Coordinators at its Acacia Ridge, Queensland facility, covering AM and PM rosters. The role builds workforce capability through structured training, coaching, competency assessment and onboarding support, while contributing to warehouse operations when required.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver structured training, refresher training, new starter onboarding and cross-skilling activities.
• Coach team members by demonstrating tasks, observing performance and giving clear, practical feedback.
• Conduct competency observations and assessments per approved procedures, document outcomes and support competency sign-off only when standards are met.
• Maintain accurate training, competency and cross-skilling records and report employee progress, capability gaps and outstanding training to the Team Manager.
• Identify skill gaps and recommend development actions; escalate recurring performance, attendance, conduct, safety breach or other concerns to the Team Manager.
• Perform warehouse and manual handling tasks when needed, following safety, quality, productivity and compliance expectations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience performing key warehouse functions in a logistics, distribution or cold storage environment.
• Consistent record of safe work practices, reliability, punctuality and strong work standards.
• Ability to explain tasks simply and supportively, and to give constructive feedback while knowing when to escalate.
• Experience supporting new starters, training team members or coaching others.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of relevant systems, equipment and operating procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Ability to adapt training to different learning needs and keep accurate records.
