Warehouse Operator

About the role

DSV Air & Sea is hiring a Warehouse Operator for Snowy Hydro Limited in Goulburn. The role is central to the logistics supply chain, making sure customer goods are picked and packed as required and that all paperwork is completed according to procedure. The operator reports to, assists and works cooperatively with the Warehouse Manager and Supervisor to provide safe and efficient warehouse operations, and may also help load and unload trucks when directed.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely.
• Read picking slips to locate stock and pick items to fulfil customer orders.
• Load and unload vehicles using a forklift, lifting aids or manual handling, and move goods in and out of the warehouse.
• Maintain 100% accuracy when picking stock and during stock takes and cycle counts.
• Enter and update information in the computer system.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and carry out daily safety checks.
• Report incidents, accidents and near misses immediately.

Required profile

• At least two years' experience in a similar position.
• Forklift licence and experience.
• Experience handling dangerous goods is highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
