Warehouse Manager - 3PL Site

About the role

A 3PL business in Laverton, Victoria is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead its site and ensure every client's stock is received, stored and dispatched safely, accurately and on time. Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, the role owns the site's people, processes, inventory and cost performance. It is a hands-on leadership position overseeing Supervisors and floor teams across AM and PM shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with WHS and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
• Plan and oversee inbound, storage, pick, pack and dispatch operations across shifts.
• Forecast labour and equipment needs and manage rosters through peak and seasonal periods.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stocktakes and variance investigations.
• Act as the site-level contact for 3PL clients, delivering to agreed SLAs and KPIs.
• Lead, coach and develop Supervisors, Team Leaders and warehouse staff.
• Manage the site budget, labour costs and productivity, and report on site performance.
• Drive process improvements, maintain SOPs and support the onboarding of new clients.

Required profile

• 5+ years' experience in warehouse or logistics operations, including managing a multi-shift site.
• Proven 3PL or multi-client experience with a track record of meeting SLAs and KPIs.
• Strong knowledge of WHS/OHS requirements and safe work practices.
• Commercially minded, comfortable managing budgets and working with productivity data.
• Preferred: forklift licence and a qualification in supply chain or logistics.

Required skills

• Solid WMS experience and sound computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients, staff and senior leaders.
• Attention to detail, organisation and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
