Warehouse and Logistics Admin

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑focused Warehouse and Logistics Administrator to support Austal Defence Australia’s warehousing and logistics operations. The role ensures accurate, timely processing of transactions in the IFS system and maintains data integrity across on‑site and subcontractor‑held inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Process warehouse and logistics transactions in IFS accurately and promptly.
• Perform remote receipting for subcontractor‑held inventory.
• Validate delivery documentation against purchase orders before receipting.
• Monitor outstanding receipting to avoid backlogs.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and align system data with physical stock.
• Support stocktake coordination, reconciliation and discrepancy resolution.
• Manage documentation for audit and traceability.
• Liaise with procurement, finance, suppliers and warehouse teams to resolve issues.
• Provide transactional and administrative support to warehouse operations.
• Identify and escalate discrepancies impacting system accuracy and compliance.

Required profile

• Experience in supply chain, logistics or administrative support roles.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as IFS, SAP or Pronto.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on data accuracy.
• Effective communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Desirable experience supporting inventory across multiple or remote locations.
• Understanding of purchase order and accounts payable processes.
• Experience in manufacturing, defence or maritime environments is a plus.
