Volvo Truck Mechanic - Visa Sponsorship

About the role

A leading truck servicing dealership with a national footprint is recruiting certified Heavy Vehicle Technicians for its state-of-the-art workshop complex in Greater Perth. The position is full-time and workshop-based, and the employer is looking for 3+ technicians experienced with Volvo, MACK, UD or Scania trucks. The advertised pay is $50-$60 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation, with salary based on skills and experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, servicing and repairs on heavy commercial vehicles
• Use OEM-level tools and software for accurate fault identification and rectification
• Occasionally attend off-site breakdowns or service recovery jobs
• Optionally take part in FIFO weekend work (once a month) for additional pay

Required profile

• Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, or an international equivalent
• Recognised certification such as Red Seal, City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, FETAC, or a 3-4 year apprenticeship
• Brand-specific training in Volvo, MACK, UD or Scania preferred
• International candidates must pass Vetassess Trade Assessment for Cert III equivalency
• Proven experience servicing Volvo or Euro 6 trucks
• Good written and verbal English

Required skills

• Familiarity with dealership-level processes and diagnostics tools
• Team player with strong problem-solving skills
