Volunteer Graphic Designer

About the role

Barayamal, a First Nations‑owned organisation supporting Indigenous entrepreneurship in Australia, is seeking a volunteer Graphic Designer. This remote, flexible role allows you to contribute visual assets for digital channels, programs and community initiatives while working on your own schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Create social media graphics, website images, promotional assets and presentation visuals.
• Design brand‑aligned layouts for programs, events, reports and campaigns.
• Edit or adapt existing Canva, Figma or Adobe design files.
• Develop reusable templates for the team.
• Collaborate remotely with the Barayamal team on agreed design tasks.

Required profile

• Based in Australia and able to work remotely.
• Interest in supporting First Nations entrepreneurship and social impact.
• Good eye for layout, typography and visual communication.
• Ability to follow brand guidelines and prepare files for web and social media.
• Flexible availability; volunteers choose tasks that fit their schedule.

Required skills

• Graphic design experience through work, study, volunteering or personal projects.
• Proficiency with Canva, Figma, Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
