Product Designer (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Equ is building a health and nutrition platform that blends AI with a decade of data. We are seeking a Product Designer to join as the sole designer, covering maternity leave with the possibility of a permanent role. You will work across consumer apps, web funnels, AI experiences, and B2B products.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end user experiences for mobile, web, and partner platforms.
• Collaborate with the Head of Product on discovery, strategy, and prioritisation.
• Translate customer and business problems into clear flows, prototypes, and polished UI.
• Explore practical AI integrations to personalise the user experience.
• Conduct research, usability testing, and gather feedback from the community.
• Maintain and evolve a design system shared across consumer and B2B products.
• Work closely with engineers during implementation and perform design QA.
• Support marketing funnels and product marketing assets when needed.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating product thinking, high‑quality craft, and measurable user impact.
• Excellent visual taste, attention to detail, and solid UX instincts.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑moving startup environment.
• Interest in nutrition, health, and behaviour‑change design.
