Video Coordinator (Part-Time Contract)

About the role

Penguin Random House New Zealand is looking for a book enthusiast to join its digital team in the North Sydney office on a part-time basis (3 days a week) for a 12-month contract. You will work alongside designers, marketers, video editors and social media experts to create and distribute video content, mainly for internal communications and podcasts.

Key responsibilities

• Use Premiere Pro to tailor video content to the needs of readers and internal stakeholders
• Film and record video and audio content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
• Capture footage of authors, internal staff and other talent
• Enhance videos with colour grading, audio and music integration, and simple text and animation

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience creating video content, professionally or through personal projects
• Strong interest in online content creation and understanding of how to tailor content to specific audiences
• Eagerness to learn, develop new skills and improve continuously
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, openness to constructive feedback, and excellent communication skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere Pro
• After Effects and livestreaming tools such as OBS are a plus
