Vice President, Client Relationship Manager

About the role

Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) is hiring a Melbourne-based Vice President to join its Client Relationship Management (CRM) team within the Distribution division. The team supports client relationships across the full lifecycle, from onboarding to ongoing servicing. The successful candidate reports to an existing team member and acts as a trusted partner to the Australasia Sales team, deepening key client relationships across the region. The role is highly collaborative and client-facing, close to local sales colleagues and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Serve client relationships throughout the client lifecycle, including pitch and due diligence meetings, client onboarding, portfolio review meetings and resolving daily questions and queries
• Manage internal stakeholders and own client matters, coordinating cross-functionally and resolving issues
• Own and manage client events such as onboarding, transitions and terminations, working with internal and external stakeholders
• Facilitate client AML and KYC reviews and other regulatory requirements with Compliance, Financial Crimes and the CRM Governance team
• Take part in client-facing projects, regulatory events and change management, including client impact assessments and client communications
• Drive global best practice across the client service organisation

Required profile

• Direct experience managing client relationships, with a minimum of 3-5 years in investment management or a related financial services organisation
• Proven ability to interact with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels, across time zones, regions and cultures
• Strong product knowledge of asset classes and investment vehicles
• Understanding of the regulatory environment and ability to apply it to client situations
• Initiative, self-motivation and autonomy; ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed organisation
• Negotiating and influencing skills, and excellent written and verbal communication
• Familiarity with AI and emerging technologies
