Veterinary Director (Clinic Leadership)

About the role

Greencross Cleveland is seeking a Veterinary Director to shape the clinical direction of a well‑established clinic while continuing to provide hands‑on veterinary care. You will receive support from an experienced Regional Clinical Director, a network of fellow Veterinary Directors, and structured continuing education.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the veterinary team in daily clinical standards and decision‑making.
• Mentor veterinarians and nurses to build confidence, capability and consistency.
• Collaborate with the Practice Manager to foster a positive clinic culture, optimise workflow and boost team engagement.
• Deliver high‑quality consults, routine surgery and comprehensive patient care.
• Develop strong client relationships through clear, thoughtful communication.
• Contribute to the growth and reputation of Greencross Cleveland.
• Participate in a wider leadership network to share ideas and learn from peers.

Required profile

• Qualified veterinarian with experience at senior or associate level, ready to step into clinical leadership.
• Confident, proactive and able to guide a team without needing all answers immediately.
• Committed to continuous professional development and supportive of team growth.
