Venue Manager – Flagship Cantonese Restaurant Opening

About the role

Lucky Venues is seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead the launch and ongoing operation of Lucky Neighbour, a new 200‑seat flagship Cantonese restaurant in Norwest Quarter. This senior leadership position requires a hands‑on, organised professional who can build a high‑performing team and a strong service culture from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard and develop all venue staff.
• Oversee the pre‑opening process and ensure a successful launch.
• Maintain a visible presence on the floor, leading by example.
• Deliver high standards of food, beverage, service and guest experience.
• Manage labour costs, rostering and day‑to‑day performance.
• Foster a positive, professional, and accountable workplace culture.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen, operations and senior management.
• Identify operational issues and implement practical solutions.
• Drive revenue, team performance and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a large or high‑volume restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of food, beverage and service standards.
• Track record recruiting, building and developing hospitality teams.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Proactive, hands‑on leadership style.
