UX Designer

About the role

Metcash Food supplies over 1,600 independently owned stores across Australia and New Zealand, including brands such as IGA, Foodland and Campbells/C-Store. It is looking for a UX Designer to help shape intuitive, user-centred digital experiences across IGA Australia's digital platforms. You will work closely with product, technology and business teams to turn customer insights into user journeys, wireframes, high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes.

Key responsibilities

• Design intuitive, user-centred digital experiences that improve customer engagement and usability
• Create user journeys, wireframes, high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes
• Conduct user research and usability testing to drive design decisions
• Evolve and maintain the IGA design system, component library and UI standards
• Partner with Product, Technology and Business teams to turn ideas into digital experiences
• Work with engineers to keep design quality high throughout delivery
• Present design concepts and recommendations to stakeholders

Required profile

• Strong experience with Figma, including prototyping and design systems
• Proven ability to run user research and turn insights into design solutions
• Excellent UX and UI skills, with a keen eye for visual design, layout and interaction
• Experience making wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity designs and prototypes
• Understanding of design systems, component libraries and digital best practices
• Confident presenting design decisions to stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Proactive, collaborative and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
