UX & Content Designer

About the role

BDO is seeking a UX & Content Designer on a 2‑year max‑term contract to shape and enhance the Global Portal, the firm’s client collaboration platform. The role works within the Information Technology team across Australian offices and reports to the Global Portal Product Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, usability testing and feedback analysis.
• Maintain user personas, journey maps and experience artefacts, and translate insights into wireframes, prototypes and experience concepts.
• Improve content, navigation, onboarding resources and support experiences across the platform.
• Enhance information architecture to improve usability and content discoverability.
• Partner with product, technology and business stakeholders to deliver user‑centred solutions and champion accessibility and best‑practice UX principles.

Required profile

• Passionate about understanding user behaviour and improving digital experiences.
• Experience in UX Design, Content Design, Service Design or similar roles.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
• Evidence‑based problem‑solving approach and ability to work collaboratively across product, technology and business teams.

Required skills

• Figma (highly regarded).
• SharePoint‑based help centres, hubs or onboarding resources (highly regarded).
• Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows or journey maps.
• Experience conducting user research and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
