Underwriting Services Apprentice

About the role

Zurich is launching its General Insurance Underwriting Apprenticeship Programme for 2026. You will be coached by experienced Assistant Underwriters, learning the fundamentals of underwriting services, supporting broker partners and gaining exposure to multiple insurance lines.

Key responsibilities

• Support broker partners by responding to customer enquiries and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day underwriting operations.
• Rotate across the wider underwriting team to gain hands‑on exposure to the various lines of General Insurance offered by Zurich.

Required profile

• Recent completion of HSC or equivalent studies, or a desire to change career into underwriting.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across the organisation.
• Attention to detail and accuracy when processing information.
• Curious, proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop within Zurich.
