Finance Manager

About the role

An established financial services business in North Sydney is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead its finance function. This hands‑on role combines detailed financial work with leadership of a small finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable and the general ledger.
• Manage month‑end close, reconciliations and preparation of management reports.
• Control cash flow, liquidity and financial controls across multiple entities and securitisation structures.
• Lead and support a small finance team, providing technical accounting guidance.
• Ensure statutory, tax and regulatory reporting compliance with ASIC and APRA requirements.
• Coordinate annual financial statements and external audit processes.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting, financial control and reporting experience, preferably within banking or asset finance.
• Proven ability to manage a small finance team and work independently.
• CA/CPA qualification preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing.
• General ledger management and journal entry preparation.
• Month‑end close and financial reconciliation.
• Cash flow management and liquidity monitoring.
• Statutory and regulatory reporting (ASIC, APRA).
