Underground Mining Engineer – FIFO WA – $250k+

About the role

Prime Mining, a leading Australian mining consultancy, is looking for experienced Underground Mining Engineers to support Tier 1 clients in Western Australia. The positions are FIFO based out of Perth on an 8/6 roster, offering a fast‑track consulting career with industry‑leading remuneration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mine production plans, including lateral/vertical development, stope notes, level plans and caving plans.
• Perform scheduling and forecasting using Deswik Scheduler to support site planning and execution.
• Design and plan drill‑and‑blast programmes for production and development.
• Create ventilation designs and backfill plans, and provide execution support.
• Lead and mentor client teams across the above disciplines as a Senior Mining Engineer.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Mining or Civil Engineering (or related field).
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Proven practical experience in underground mining within Australia.
• Excellent communication, time‑management and safety commitment.
• Willingness to relocate to Perth or the surrounding region.
