Underground Loader Operator / Trainer – Senegal (FIFO)

About the role

Join African Underground Mining Services (AUMS) on a major West African gold project in Senegal as an Underground Loader Operator and Trainer. The position is a long‑term international assignment with a 6‑day on/3‑day off roster, offering competitive pay and a FIFO lifestyle where applicable.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the installation and operation of AutoMine systems.
• Prepare and charge rings, charge down and up holes, and manage VCR of rises, passes and escape ways.
• String rises and interpret related information accurately.
• Provide training on Tele‑remote, Guidance, MineGem and AutoMine equipment to national personnel.
• Operate large underground LHDs such as CAT R2900 and Sandvik LH621 loaders.
• Handle dangerous goods, maintain shot‑firing licences, and support vent and services installation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a loader operator in underground mining.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior staff.
• Willingness to work in a high‑speed development cycle and adapt to team needs.
• Commitment to safety and a proactive work ethic.
