Underground HD Fitter

About the role

Gold Fields is looking for an Underground HD Fitter to join its Mobile Maintenance team at Granny Smith Gold Mine in Laverton, Western Australia. The mine is an owner-operated site investing heavily in modern mining technology and equipment. The position is FIFO from Perth on an 8/6 7/7 roster covering both day and night shifts.

Required profile

• Australian recognised Heavy Mechanical Trade Qualification or Cert III in Mobile Plant Technology
• Experience working in a mining environment, preferably underground
• Proven mechanical experience on heavy mining equipment across servicing, preventative maintenance, fault finding and repair, with the ability to interpret hydraulic systems and schematics
• Valid WA Manual Driver's Licence at minimum
• Tradespeople with experience on heavy mining equipment in surface or open pit operations, including recent apprentices, are encouraged to apply

Required skills

• Automotive Air Conditioning Licence (desirable)
• High risk licences such as Forklift, EWP, Basic Rigging and Dogging (desirable)
• Exposure to SAP (desirable)
