Underground Diamond Driller (FIFO)

About the role

DDH1 Drilling, part of the Perenti Group, is recruiting an Underground Diamond Driller for a FIFO role working with high-performance crews across multiple sites on Australia's East Coast. The position suits someone with experience operating mobile underground diamond rigs and confidence behind the panel of a mobile underground machine. The roster is 2:1 (2 weeks on, 1 week off) or 2:2 (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off).

Key responsibilities

• Operate the drill rig to OEM and DDH1 standards within a highly regulated safety system.
• Ensure duty of care is exercised in your own work and in the work of all personnel under your control.
• Make sure all personnel comply with current HSE regulations and site regulations.
• Carry out comprehensive inspections and routine maintenance on all equipment on site.
• Oversee sampling procedures and ensure core is marked to requirements.
• Train and mentor offsiders and trainee drillers in safety and rig operations.
• Execute client drilling programs with attention to accuracy and safety, and maintain professional conduct and teamwork on site.

Required profile

• Experience operating mobile underground diamond rigs.
• Valid manual driver's licence; HR licence desired.
• Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011).
• Flexible to work both 2:1 and 2:2 rosters.
• National police clearance.
• Cert III in Drilling Operations completed or in progress is preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and leadership skills.
