UFT & Python Automation Test Engineer (Contract)

About the role

Hastha Solutions has an urgent need for a UFT and Python Automation Test Engineer on a 6-month contract in Sydney, with possible extension. The role focuses on building and running automated regression tests with UFT and Python, working in Agile teams. Only Australian or NZ citizens and PR holders are eligible.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain automated test scripts using UFT and Python.
• Automate backlog regression test cases to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Design reusable automation components and libraries.
• Run automated and manual test cases during sprint and release cycles.
• Analyse results and troubleshoot automation failures.
• Log, track and validate defects through resolution.
• Take part in Agile ceremonies and work with stakeholders.

Required profile

• 4-8 years of experience in software testing and quality engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on UFT automation experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent; UFT certification preferred.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments.

• Preferred: API testing (Postman/REST Assured), CI/CD (Jenkins/Azure DevOps), Selenium with Python, BFSI domain experience and workflow-driven application testing
