Tutor Sonographer (Senior)

About the role

Lumus Imaging is seeking an experienced Sonographer to join Mercy Public Hospital in Werribee as a Tutor Sonographer. This senior position will focus on mentoring, training and upskilling trainee, junior and experienced sonographers across a broad range of ultrasound modalities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one training and mentorship to beginner and junior sonographers.
• Develop and deliver sonographer training programs and continuing professional development (CPD) sessions.
• Lead the creation and implementation of educational resources for referrers and staff.
• Maintain high standards of image quality and patient care across musculoskeletal, vascular, general, obstetric and interventional ultrasound.
• Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure best practice.

Required profile

• Qualified Sonographer with extensive experience in multiple ultrasound specialties.
• Proven experience in training and upskilling sonographers of all levels.
• Leadership qualities that drive change and foster a learning culture.
• ASAR accreditation and a strong commitment to quality and patient safety.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
