Turf Maintainer

About the role

The City of Rockingham is looking for a Turf Maintenance Officer to join its Parks Services team. The role is hands-on and involves maintaining parks, reserves and streetscapes, including mowing, edging, whipper snipping and other turf care activities. It is a permanent, full-time position averaging 38 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain parks, reserves and streetscapes through mowing, edging, whipper snipping and other turf care tasks.
• Work to daily schedules and deliver high-quality results.
• Operate and maintain turf equipment safely.

Required profile

• Construction Industry Training (White Card).
• Self-motivated, able to work in a team or alone under direction.
• Able to work in line with WHS obligations.
• Experience maintaining and safely operating plant and equipment in parks and gardens.

Required skills

• Experience with turf maintenance equipment such as ride-on mowers.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or in a small team.
