Truck Driver (Heavy Rigid) - Tyre Recycling

About the role

CTS Tyre Recycling is a Western Australian recycling and resource recovery business that collects, transports and processes end-of-life tyres and other rubber products. It operates a processing facility in Neerabup and needs licensed, experienced truck drivers to move tyres and recycled materials between client sites, CTS facilities and approved destinations. The Truck Driver role covers day-to-day transport and logistics, driving heavy vehicles on local and regional routes in line with safety and transport regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive heavy rigid (HR) and medium rigid (MR) vehicles on local and regional routes
• Position vehicles safely for loading and unloading at client sites and CTS facilities
• Load and unload materials using approved lifting and handling equipment, including forklifts where required
• Distribute, restrain, cover and secure loads according to legal requirements
• Carry out pre-start, on-road and post-trip inspections
• Follow fatigue management requirements, Chain of Responsibility obligations and road transport legislation
• Maintain logbooks, delivery documents and electronic records; verify load documentation and obtain proof of delivery or site certifications
• Follow site safety procedures and environmental policies, and help with yard, warehouse and housekeeping duties

Required profile

• Valid Australian Heavy Rigid (HR) driver licence
• Experience operating heavy vehicles in transport, logistics, recycling or a similar industry
• Knowledge of load restraint requirements and transport compliance standards
• Ability to handle goods manually and strong safety awareness
• Clear communication and ability to complete paperwork and electronic records accurately

Required skills

• Forklift licence and experience (preferred but not mandatory)
• Heavy rigid vehicle operation

The position reports to the Transport Supervisor or Operations Manager, works standard full-time hours on day and afternoon shifts, and involves regular returns to base.
