About the role

The UGL Energy and Industrial team is seeking experienced Trenching Operators for a FIFO position on a 3/1 roster. You will operate trenching machines and graders to dig trenches, install electrical cables and pipes on renewable energy and utility projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate trenching and grading equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
  • Read and interpret site plans to locate underground services before excavation.
  • Install electrical cables and pipelines within the excavated trenches.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.

Required profile

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a trenching operator on construction or industrial sites.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Valid MR licence and Construction White Card.

Required skills

  • Operating trenchers and heavy machinery.
  • Reading site plans and locating underground services.
  • Knowledge of excavation and underground service safety.
  • Experience on renewable energy or utilities projects.
