Transport Officer – Receiving & Dispatch

About the role

The Transport Officer will act as the primary point of contact for our national network of business partners and end users, ensuring the smooth receipt, handling, and dispatch of goods. This permanent, full‑time position is based at the Port of Brisbane and offers a stable long‑term career in logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Receive incoming deliveries, verify quantity and quality against service level agreements.
• Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
• Record all shipments accurately using Microsoft Excel and other software.
• Upload and download necessary documents from relevant systems.
• Label freight accurately according to pallet numbers.
• Monitor email orders and process them without delay.
• Generate transport documentation from software programs.
• Coordinate with transport providers for freight collection.
• Ensure outgoing shipments meet quality and accuracy requirements.

Required profile

• Full working rights in Australia and own transport.
• Proven experience as a Receiving and Dispatch Officer.
• Ability to represent client interests and adhere to company policies.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and teamwork with warehouse staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

• Hourly rate of $36.16 inclusive of casual loading.
• Permanent employment with regular Monday‑Friday hours (8:30 am‑5:00 pm).
