Transport Modeller / Analyst

About the role

Jacobs' Brisbane Transport Planning team is growing and is looking for a Transport Modeller / Analyst to join an established team delivering major transport and infrastructure projects in Australia. Working with transport planners, modellers, engineers and multidisciplinary teams across Australia and New Zealand, you will contribute to transport analytics and modelling services for a range of projects and clients, helping develop practical, data-driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of strategic transport modelling and analytics projects.
• Analyse and interpret transport data to give clients valuable insights.
• Contribute to transport modelling activities and the assessment of project outcomes.
• Collaborate with local and global teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Assist with preparing technical inputs for proposals and business development opportunities.
• Build relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience analysing and interpreting transport or infrastructure-related data.
• Knowledge of transport planning, transport modelling or traffic engineering principles, preferably strategic transport modelling experience.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to present technical findings clearly.
• A collaborative mindset, willingness to learn, and passion for quality outcomes and complex problems.

Required skills

• Strategic modelling software such as Emme, Cube or OpenPaths.
• Data analytics and visualisation tools such as Python, Tableau or Power BI.
