Transport Allocator

About the role

ANC, an Australian-owned last-mile delivery and direct-to-consumer (D2C) services provider, is looking for an experienced Transport Allocator to join its team at Brisbane Airport, Queensland. This is a hands-on operational role supporting Delivery Professionals (drivers) by allocating transport resources, planning routes with transport systems and ensuring deliveries meet customer expectations. The position involves a rotating roster including weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the daily schedule of deliveries, vehicle requirements and route planning using transport and delivery management systems, optimising resource use according to volume and operational needs.
• Use operational platforms and digital tools to monitor delivery performance, manage real-time allocation and support decisions across the delivery network.
• Work with cross-functional teams to run daily delivery operations smoothly.
• Resolve operational issues on the day of delivery and keep disruptions to a minimum.
• Ensure allocations follow the Chain of Responsibility (COR) and safety standards.
• Identify improvements to efficiency, cost and customer experience, and keep accurate records of schedules and operational metrics.

Required profile

• 3+ years of industry experience in transport or logistics; familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS) is preferred.
• Strong ability to learn and use operational technology platforms, interpreting system data to support allocation and planning decisions.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to service excellence.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team, with strong communication and organisational skills.
• Understanding of local and interstate capital city logistics is advantageous.
• Full working rights in Australia required.
